A Journey of Colours

As an established Group, we carry a corporate responsibility not only towards our associates, shareholders, and stakeholders, but also towards the society and environment within our reach. Investing in corporate social responsibility initiatives will allow us to contribute back to the community, enriching lives and do our part to make the world a better place, which is in line with our Motto, “Making people’s lives easier, happier and richer.” We strongly believe that everyone should deserve a better life; hence we invest in such initiatives knowing that we have the ability to make a difference!

As such, we have since started to organize CSR Programs to give back to the community with noteworthy events such as the recent “A Journey of Colours” CSR activity with the Society of Severely Mentally Handicapped (“SSMH”) that saw our PUC volunteers teaching mentally handicapped students to paint, and socialising with them.

Located at No.16, Jalan 21/11, Sea Park, 46300, Petaling Jaya, the SSMH is a voluntary welfare organization established in 1984 and registered with the Registrar of Societies with the objective of providing rehabilitation facilities to children and youths with severe mental and physical disabilities. The activity started off with a Music Therapy with light exercises and in no time, the students warmed up to the PUC volunteers who took their time to do the exercise with them. After that began the painting session where PUC volunteers assisted and guided the students step-by-step to paint the picture themed, A Journey of Colours. The activity ended with the team finishing up the painting with the students who were grinning from end to end!

Through this involving exercise, we hope to have brought a bright and beautiful journey of colours to the SSMH students. By teaching the students to paint, our dedicated volunteers have indeed showed that love unites everyone through the door of PUC.

We hope to further increase our outreach to those in need in the future with more CSR activities that would not only benefit the recipients, but also strengthen our bonds as a Group.
